Tigerexchangeindia highlights the remarkable rise of the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons, who secured their maiden Caribbean Premier League (CPL) title after defeating the Jamaica Kingsmen in the final. The Falcons bowled Jamaica out for 170 before completing the chase in the 17th over to claim their first CPL trophy.

The antigua & barbuda falcons had finished fifth a couple of seasons ago and fourth last year, but their consistent progress finally produced silverware. Captain Moeen Ali praised the players, coaching staff, support team and fans in Antigua for their contribution throughout the campaign.

The Falcons' chase featured important contributions from Rahkeem Cornwall, Amir Jangoo and Hasan Nawaz. Jangoo made a major impact after producing several useful 20–30 run scores earlier in the tournament and finally converting that consistency into a match-winning contribution.

Jamaica Kingsmen captain Rovman Powell admitted that his side felt they were around 10–15 runs short at the halfway stage. Maaz Sadaqat and Saim Ayub had helped Jamaica reach 100/2 after 10 overs, but the Kingsmen lost four important wickets during the middle overs and could not maintain their momentum.

Shadab Khan was named Player of the Tournament after another influential CPL campaign. He also became the third player in CPL history to take a hat-trick, achieving the feat during the playoff qualifier. Shadab spoke about his role, mental freedom and his return following surgery, while dedicating his success to his family.

Several other awards were presented after the final. Rovman Powell won the award for the biggest six of the season, Navin Bidaisee produced the classic catch of the tournament, and Dasun Shanaka received recognition for the highest individual score, with Kusal Perera accepting the award on his behalf.

Sir Curtly Ambrose also reflected on the Falcons' journey. He noted that the franchise had not initially been widely regarded as a major contender when it began six years ago, but the team gradually developed into a close-knit and well-organised unit. He said the achievement could inspire young players in Antigua and Barbuda.

Coach Paul Nixon praised Moeen Ali's leadership, the backroom staff and analysts, while also highlighting Amir Jangoo's contribution. Other Falcons players, including Alzarri Joseph, Jayden Seales, Rahkeem Cornwall and Wilden Cornwall, credited the team's consistency, preparation, belief and support from local fans.

Amir Jangoo said the Falcons believed Jamaica were approximately 50 runs short of a competitive total and focused on playing with impact during the chase. The victory completed a significant turnaround for the franchise and gave Antigua and Barbuda its first CPL championship.
